Project Details
This Glen Ellyn Craftsman had all the architectural details that make the style beloved — wide gables, exposed rafter tails, and a welcoming front porch. The original cedar siding was rotting after 30 years. We designed a multi-material Hardie approach: HardiePlank lap siding on the body in Monterey Taupe, HardieShingle shake panels in the gable peaks in Mountain Sage for contrast, and crisp Arctic White HardieTrim throughout. The two-tone approach highlighted the Craftsman architecture and earned the project a neighborhood compliment from the village's historic preservation committee.
