This Wheaton Cape Cod's 22-year-old roof had reached the end of its life — curling shingles, heavy granule loss, and a persistent leak near the chimney flashing. The dormers added complexity to the project, requiring skilled flashing work at multiple transition points. We chose Owens Corning Duration shingles for their 130 MPH wind rating and SureNail technology that prevents blow-offs in high winds. New step flashing around all dormers and a full chimney reflash eliminated the leak permanently.
